Owen Foster-Hickey
Owen Foster-Hickey is a senior at Cape Coral High School in Cape Coral, Florida.
Owen has always been very passionate about the responsible use of drugs and
alcohol as at a young age his mother was killed in a car crash caused by a drunk
driver. Growing up with the consequences of another person's destructive decision,
he grew to advocate good choices to his peers. In his sophomore year, he joined his
school's SADD Club. Shortly thereafter Owen became president of his SADD
chapter. Through the Cape Coral SADD Club, he has organized multiple local events
in his school and community to advocate against drugs, alcohol, and suicide. Owen
is also involved with community service organizations through his service as
president of the Anchor Club, director of The Florida Anchor Club, and a member
of Interact Club. As part of the SLC, he is most excited to be able to contribute to
an even larger community across the nation.
