JoAnne Ovall serves SADD as the South Dakota Community Engagement Specialist. She is currently the Regional Coordinator for EF High School Year, a foreign exchange student program. She has worked with this company for over 27 years. She has been a host mom to over 50 students and has been a coordinator for hundreds of kids. She has been a business owner, a paraprofessional for the school system and has served as the Booster Club president in the past. She feels that her greatest accomplishment has been having the privilege of being a mother and grandmother. Her and her husband have a farm in Eastern South Dakota. She enjoys gardening, camping, and sitting on the porch listening to the birds sing.  They spend time in the beautiful Black Hills as often as possible where they spend time with extended family and go fishing, snowmobiling, and 4-wheeling. Â
JoAnne lives by the idea,"Our youth are the future, and if we can guide them to make good decisions; our future will be in good hands."Â
