Janet earned a degree in Family Science from the University of Maryland where she was part of Gymkana, an acrobatics performance team that encouraged healthy choices by role modeling active, drug-free living to school-aged children. She then took that passion for helping youth to Wyoming where she spent almost a decade working directly with struggling teens helping them learn tools to face live confidently, safely, and with new joy and appreciation. Since then, Janet has continued work in the mental health field within schools, engaging with students from kindergarten through high school.
In her free time Janet takes in all the fun Wyoming has to offer – hiking, fly fishing, camping, skiing, and just enjoying the beauty of the big open spaces with her obliging husband. When forced inside, there’s always a good book or watercolor to keep her busy.
