Deanne joined SADD in January 2022 as the Ohio Community Engagement Specialist, with her home base located in the Central Ohio area. She has over 17 years of teaching experience with adults and youth in a variety of disciplines but most recently as a certified driving instructor at AAA Driver Education in Worthington, OH. Deanne brings over seven years of professional knowledge in highway traffic safety and defensive driving skills in her current position working with beginning teen, as well as adult drivers in all stages of their driving experience behind the wheel. She also teaches driver’s education in the classroom portion of the Ohio Driver’s Education program at AAA.

Deanne comes to SADD as an alum, where she was treasurer and also vice president within her local high school SADD chapter. The leadership skills she learned all those years ago have continued to serve her well today. It is her hope that she can impart SADD’s mission of fostering a sense of belonging so that young people can make positive life decisions that will carry them throughout their lives. This mission was as true in the 80s as it is today. Creating opportunities for positive peer pressure is even more important for today’s youth.

During her downtime, Deanne enjoys taking long road trips to the beach with her husband Shawn, and attending concerts with her daughter Sam. She also loves spending time with her little dogs Percy Jackson and Teddy Graham.
