EQUITABLE EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP

We are excited to share the Equitable Excellence Scholarship® opportunity through the Equitable Foundation. The next application period will open around October 2025!

The Equitable Excellence Scholarship® remains at the core of Equitable Foundation's philanthropic support for students, schools, and educators. We are proud that Equitable has offered this college access support to over 7,300 students for over 20 years!

Not only does Equitable Foundation aim to support students to and through their college endeavors, but their focus area is also centered around breaking down barriers within the college application process.

Last year, 100% of Equitable Excellence® scholars demonstrated financial need and 63% were first-generation college students.

To support students throughout their academic journeys, Equitable will provide 100 $5,000 annual scholarships that will be renewed to award recipients each academic year for four years, for a total of $20,000 per recipient.

Equitable is committed to students who show potential. Those with the courage to pursue what’s possible; display strength in managing challenges; share wisdom with others. The Equitable Excellence Scholarship® is our promise to those individuals dedicated to achieving their dreams.

Eligibility requirements:

Be a current high school senior that resides in one of the 50 U.S. states, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico, who plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two- or four-year college or university in the United States for the entire upcoming academic year.
Demonstrate ambition and self-drive to be a force for good in their communities by encouraging others to pursue higher education.
Be willing to provide a release to publicize their identities and information about their plans or achievements along with photographs for use in Program promotion/information.
Have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).

The Equitable Excellence Scholarship® is supported through strategic partnerships between Equitable and Scholarship America that includes, CommonApp, National College Attainment Network (NCAN) and college access community-based organizations to assist students who apply for the scholarship and are seeking resources to support the college application process.

High school seniors apply via one application located on the Scholarship America hub.
There will be 100 $5,000 renewable winners (up to 4 years totaling $20,000) across the county.

Scholarship winners will demonstrate ambition and self-drive to be a force for good in their communities by encouraging others to pursue higher education.

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display:
- Student name
- School name
- Grades
- Credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

Your application is not complete unless all required materials are submitted electronically.

Use a personal email address when registering for the Scholarship America Hub – not a high school email address.
