Kristin Kingsley is a mission-driven auto safety engineer and policy wonk with more than 25 years of experience helping to make vehicles and roadways safer. As Director of Program Development and Outreach for the Automotive Coalition for Traffic Safety, her focus is on developing technology to prevent drunk driving through the DADSS (Driver Alcohol Detection System for Safety) Program.Â
Her areas of expertise include crash data collection and analysis, advanced vehicle technologies, policy development, and strategic planning. She is an active member of the Lifesavers Conference Planning Committee, The National Safety Council's Road to Zero Coalition, and the Society of Automotive Engineers. Before joining the Automotive Coalition for Traffic Safety, Ms. Kingsley had more than 20 years of experience working at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and at The Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers. She has her Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Crash Analysis Center at the George Washington University. Â
Kristin is a proud Mom, StepMom, and DogMom, and lives in the Washington, DC area with her family. In her spare time she loves to hike, read, and travel.
