Staying free of alcohol and drugs is a choice we hope all teens will make, but it's a choice you have to make on your own. Alcohol awareness activities provide a reminder of the effects and consequences of underage drinking and drug use. The message is not coming from parents or teachers - it's students to students, learning together and working together, in an effort to influence the choices their friends and classmates make.
As you plan your underage drinking prevention activities, remember that the SADD message is judgment free. You cannot succeed in getting others to change their attitudes if you limit participation in your chapter to only people who never engage in risky behavior.
Awareness activity ideas are limitless. Although each SADD chapter has its own unique calendar of events and activities, the following links offer a few suggestions.
